Westie Grooming Weekend with the King of Westies!

This weekend, two of Uncanny Animals’ Senior Stylists, Annie and Brooke, had the incredible opportunity to spend time with none other than the King of the Westies himself – Celso Mollo!

Celso is a globally respected and highly decorated figure in the international dog grooming community, renowned for his expertise in grooming West Highland White Terriers. Having him fly in all the way from Canada made the experience even more special.

Saturday was dedicated to observing Celso in action as he generously shared his deep knowledge on breed standards, hand stripping, and specialised grooming techniques for Westies. On Sunday, it was time to put that learning into practice. Annie and Brooke took part in a hands-on session, grooming their own dogs under Celso’s guidance and receiving invaluable feedback.

In Celso’s words, “Never be satisfied” – a powerful reminder that even at the top of your game, there’s always more to learn. That spirit of growth and excellence certainly resonated with Annie and Brooke, whose Westie grooming skills have been taken to the next level thanks to this experience.
