Position is for casual employment with the opportunity to grow.
RESPONSIBILITIES...
Customer Service
Managing punctual communication, client satisfaction and pet owner education.
Scheduling
Proficiently coordinating client appointments and our busy schedule, using MoeGo booking software, maintaining a well-organised calendar of events.
Administration
Efficiently corresponding to emails, texts and phone calls, updating our website, and multi-tasking the organisation of reception duties.
Checking clients in and out
Understanding different types of pet breeds, haircuts and techniques to educate clients, understand what groom the client desires, and pass this information to the groomer.
Retail
Using Shopify (eg putting products in and out of the system), tagging and pricing products, giving advice on products, packing orders and keeping on top of stock numbers.
Monetary transactions
Calculating the costs of grooms, charging clients for the services rendered or products chosen, counting money with precision.
Light Cleaning Duties
FOH is required to keep on top of the presentation of the shop front and desk area.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR...
Excellent customer service skills
We are a very busy salon and interaction with people is constant. We need a FOH that knows how to make people feel satisfied, seen and understood, and are encouraging of other colleagues.
Proficiency with Computers, Administration and Organisation
We are looking for someone that is excellent at performing administrative duties, problem solving, using software to book appointments and keeping on top of the daily events.
A decent understanding of dog breeds
We can teach many of the hair styles, but knowledge of common dog breeds is a must.
Professional
We are a fun-loving team but do uphold professional standards. Punctuality, a neat appearance, and a good work ethic and attitude are all traits we desire.
A love of animals
We are in this job for the love of animals! We need staff that are passionate about their well-being and enjoy being around animals and handling them.
